Hitoshi Morita
Hitoshi Morita is a smart and cunning 57-year-old ronin samurai warrior who once served in Oda Nobunaga`s army with his lifelong friend Hata.
At the age of just 17 years old, Hitoshi gained praise for taking the head of Imagawa Yoshimoto with Hata at his side, scoring a huge victory for Nobunaga`s growing military forces. However, while he did serve the warlord faithfully, Hitoshi didn`t always agree with his policies or methods for expansion in Japan.
During one particular assignment, while the rest of Nobunaga`s forces ransacked and burnt Enraku-ji Temple to the ground, Hitoshi saved a young girl at the request of the temple monks. Seeing that they were willing to give up their lives for her and risk everything for her, Hitoshi was moved by their commitment and decided to honor their wishes. He ran with the girl and sent her into hiding. For 2 months, he secretly cared for her while she was hiding in a cave, before eventually escorting her to his hometown to stay with his grandmother while he continued his military service until Nobunaga`s death.
After retiring from the army, Hitoshi returned to his hometown to become a peaceful merchant trader, riding the seas from country to country where he acquired various goods in China and India. He eventually married the young girl that he saved from the temple and together they had 6 beautiful daughters.
